How to paint brake calipers?

The VHT Brake Caliper Paint is a caliper paint that you can easily apply using the steps below. In 5 steps you spray the caliper paint blue in the right way for the desired effect.

1. Remove any loose paint and rust. Clean the surface thoroughly by using a good degreaser.
2. Spray the surface with primer. Use the VHT SP118 Primer spray can for this purpose.
3. Shake the spray can of VHT Brake Caliper Paint well before use. Spray several coats of brake caliper paint until the desired coverage is achieved. Note, pause for 5 minutes between coats to allow the paint to evaporate properly.
4. After the last coat, you should "bake" the paint to allow it to fully cure. This can be done with a hair dryer or 20 minutes in a 90°C oven.
5. We recommend only after 24 hours to load the sprayed surface against external influences.
