Can the car sponge be washed?

We recommend hand washing and thoroughly rinsing the Turtle Wax Power Sponge. Certain types of washing machines may damage the wax sponge. Wash with a mild liquid detergent (without fabric softener) and hand dry. Add 1/4 cup of white distilled vinegar to increase softness. After washing, the sponge may become more pliable.
