Welding Blankets & Curtains
Welding Protection
During welding, gases, fumes and chemicals are produced and can be seriously harmful to people in the surrounding area. Welders wear welding helmets to protect themselves but other people may not wear the right protective equipment. CROP stocks an extensive range of welding protective products, such as welding curtains, in several standard sizes or these can be custom-made according to the client’s specifications. When welding, or performing other hot works, sparks can fly and molten metal can splash. But with our welding supplies covering you, you’ll remain safe.
Welding Curtains
The main dangers of unprotected exposure to welding light are: arc eye (during short-term exposure), cataract (by prolonged exposure) and skin burn. The latter can also lead to skin cancer. The welder protects himself by wearing a welding mask and protective clothing but colleagues are exposed to the same dangers. This is why it is important to protect colleagues in the work place to prevent long-term illness.
Welding Blankets
Welding blankets are also known as welding mats and welding drapes. The fire blanket for welding depends on the type of risk, the frequency of use, the proximity of the spark source and the different environmental factors. Products can be supplied for horizontal applications or vertical solutions. In a great many cases it is also necessary and possible to supply custom made products.
Welding Screens
We can also supply a mobile welding booth which is suitable and easier to move to different locations. Not only do these booths provide protection but they also offer flexibility for organizing workspace. They provide an optimal solution because they can be quickly dismantled and removed from the work floor when welding work is not being carried out. Welding screens are built of a metal frame and strip curtains made of flame-retardant material.
