Radiator Paint
Spray radiator with radiator paint
Radiator paint is a special paint spray for painting radiators. Is your radiator damaged, is the paint starting to peel or do you want a new look? The spray cans of radiator paint contain special heat-resistant paint that can withstand the high temperatures of radiators. Besides radiators, this paint can also be used when spraying towel warmers, hot water pipes, thermal appliances, etc.
How do I spray radiator paint?
Spraying a radiator is no different than spraying any other surface. A good start is half the battle! Before you start spraying the color, make sure the radiator is clean, dry and grease-free. Is there old paint residue or rust on it? If so, remove them first and then sand the radiator well for optimal paint adhesion.
Make sure the spray can is at room temperature and the ambient temperature is around 20 degrees Celsius. Shake the spray can well for 2 minutes and spray a test piece beforehand to avoid mistakes. Keep a distance of 25 to 30 centimeters while spraying. Build up the radiator paint by applying it in several thin layers.
What should I know about radiator paint?
Radiator paint is usually cured after 24 hours and does not need to be heated while drying. The drying of this paint depends on the ambient temperature, humidity and the applied layer thickness. So keep an eye on the drying time yourself at all times.
