Radiator Paint

Radiator Spray Paint

Painting radiators can help to make them a feature of the room, or blend them into the background. Heater paint is also known as radiator paint. Heat resistant radiator and storage heater paints won't yellow, peel, split or blister under intense and prolonged periods of medium to high-heat.

Paint a Radiator

When painting a radiator, you can't use normal (car/vehicle) paint. You will need a special radiator spray if you want to do it properly.

  1. Turn your heating off and ventilate the room.
  2. Clean around the radiator and remove anything that might get disturbed and become stick in the radiator paint.
  3. Clean the radiator with a powerful degreaser and sand down lumps of paint and rust.
  4. Remove sanding dust and other contaminants.
  5. Prime the radiator.
  6. Paint the radiator. Spray the best radiator paint until the desired color and coverage is achieved.
  7. Allow the radiator spray paint to dry for at least 24 hours.
