The garage door paint protects against cracking, blistering and peeling. Up to 12 years* of protection against rain and other weather conditions.

Garage door paint can be used on wood, masonry, PVC, plastic, concrete and siding on which a suitable primer has been applied. Metal Expert Paint for garage doors is suitable for use at low temperatures (down to 5°C), repels water, is mold resistant and contains a biocide to protect the dried coating from fungal attack.

Paint for garage door? Garage doors have a lot to endure. Over time, they often begin to discolor or lose their paint coating due to exposure to various weather conditions such as sunlight and rain. Due to their large surface area, garage doors can get very hot when exposed to a lot of sunlight. When the sun disappears, the surface cools and cracks can appear in the paint layer or the paint can flake. Prolonged exposure to water also causes rusting. Since replacing a garage door is expensive, repainting it is an ideal alternative.

How do I use garage door paint?

Rustoleum garage door paint is easy to use without primer or primer (except on non-ferrous metal and galvanized metal). Use the steps below.

1. Remove oil, grease and other surface contaminants with an appropriate cleaning agent. Remove loose rust by scraping, brushing with a wire brush or sanding.
2. Stir the product thoroughly before applying. Apply the product in 1 to 2 coats with a suitable brush or roller.
3. Hand-dry after 4 hours.
4. Dry after 8 hours.
5. If necessary, you can apply a second coat after 16 hours. Fully cured after 7 days.
6. Not recommended for use in humid conditions or when the temperature is below 5°C.
