Rust-Oleum GraffitiShield Polycoat is a 2 in 1 solvent-free anti-graffiti coating suitable as durable protection for non-porous surfaces indoors and outdoors. Suitable for use on facade insulation systems, stucco layers, concrete but also for surfaces treated with acrylic dispersion paints.

Graffiti coating

A graffiti coating can also be applied to protect street art and murals from illegal sprayers and atmospheric contamination. Polycoat from Rust-Oleum can be used as a kind of clear coat that you can apply over your graffiti painting to prevent anyone else from painting over your artwork. So it is important that you seal your mural with Polycoat, so to speak, to protect it. Did someone else paint all over your artwork? Then you can use a pressure washer to spray the polycoat at 80 degrees to remove the ''second'' mural.

Graffiti removal

Polycoat from Rust-Oleum GraffitiShield can also be used as an anti-graffiti coating to prevent street art. The solvent-free formula is based on nanoparticles that penetrate deep into the substrate. This prevents graffiti vandalism without damaging the surface in the process.

How do I use the anti-graffiti treatment?

Rustoleum anti-graffiti is easy to use. Use the steps below.

1. The surface should be dry, clean, dirt and grease free.
2. Stir intensively before use until a good homogeneity is obtained.
3. Minimum ambient temperature: 10 °C . Maximum relative humidity: 80%. Substrate temperature: 5 °C - 35 °C .
4. The substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point.
5. Do not dilute, use a long-haired natural paint brush or short-haired paint roller.
6. Adhesive-free: 1 hour
7. Can be handled: 4 hours
8. Paintable: 12 hours
9. Fully cured: 3 days
10. Pot life: 30 min

Depending on many factors such as porosity and roughness of the substrate and material loss during application, consumption is difficult to estimate. Theoretical consumption is 10 m²/l.
