PPG 2K Epoxy Primer
PPG 2K Epoxy Primer is a multi-mode 2K Epoxy Surfacer. It is light grey in colour, chromate-free and has good corrosion resistance over bare metal. PPG D8595 has good adhesion to a wide variety of suitably prepared substrates. These include bare and galvanised steel, aluminium, painted surfaces and fillers.
Automotive Epoxy Primer
PPG 2K Epoxy Primer Paint is the most professional filler for car parts. PPG epoxy surfacer has excellent filling properties and can easily be sanded to a smooth surface. Thanks to the epoxy that is incorporated in the filler, the PPG epoxy primer offers excellent protection against rust and corrosion.
How do I prepare the surface?
- Aged painted surfaces: P240, P320, P400 and P500
- Bare steel: P80 to P120
- Galvanised steel: P400 (dry)
- Zintec: Fine sandgpaper or Scotch-brite
- Aluminium & alloys: P280 to P320 (dry)
- Glassfibre: P320 (dry)
- Polyester filler: P80, P120 and P180 (dry)
- Electropaint: P360 (dry) or P800 (wet)
Flash-off time PPG 2K Epoxy Primer
The drying time of PPG Epoxy Surfacer depends on various factors such as paint layer thickness, temperature and humidity.
- Airdry 20°C: overnight

How much can I spray with a spray can?
A 400ml spray can covers approximately 1.5 to 2 m², depending on the material porosity and layer thickness. For larger projects or multiple layers, we recommend accounting for an extra 10% to ensure you don't run out halfway through.
