The MONTANA polystyrene primer provides an extra (protective) layer on polystyrene, which allows the lacquer with solvent-based clear coat. After applying the protective layer all Montana aerosols can be used; both the synthetic lacquers and nitro-combination or acrylic base. It is recommended that you first create a test on a less visible place makes to possible to avoid undesirable results. The drying time depends on the ambient temperature and humidity, and can take up to 24 hours.
The new MONTANA primers have been developed for solvent sensitive and very absorbent surfaces. It also provides an excellent basis for synthetic, nitro-combi and acrylic lacquers. The primers are easy to apply, to sand and spray. They bond with both the substrate if the topcoat and will result in an excellent surface for subsequent. Application:
- Apply the primer on in several thin layers
- Let the individual layers about 3-4 minutes to dry before the next layer is applied.
- The under layer should not all the way through hardened to improve the adhesion of the new layer.
- The other layers can require a 24-hour drying time
- Test the primers first on an invisible place to the reaction with the varnish or colour test
