MIRKA Polarshine 12 Black is a water-based silicone-free polishing compound designed to permanently remove sanding scratches on industrial paints from P2000 and finer. The polishing paste provides a hologram-free, deep gloss. Specially designed for dark surfaces and composites. Ideal for gelcoat, high-gloss paint and visible carbon fiber.

Which polishing pad do I use?

Which polishing wheel to use depends on how much paint correction is needed to make the car or boat factory new. Polarshine 12 has enough paint correction to remove scratches, swirls and holograms. To polish the surface directly to gloss with deep reflection, we recommend using a lambs wool or medium foam polishing pad.

Dust-free polishing

Dust-free polishing can only be done with a water-based polishing compound. Polarshine Black 12 is a water-based polishing compound so it has virtually no dust generation. This professional car polish provides fast and lasting results.

How can I polish my boat or car with MIRKA?

1. Shake polishing compound well before use.
2. Do not use too much compound at a time. A small amount is sufficient.
3. Clean thoroughly before and after polishing.
4. Work in areas of 40x40cm at a time.
5. Rotary: 800 - 2000 RPM
6. Eccentric: 6000 - 10,000 RPM
7. Polish until a scratch-free surface is achieved.
8. Keep your polishing pad clean, a dirty pad causes unevenness.
