Heat resistant paint black up to 800 degrees Celsius

MIPA Mipatherm heat resistant paint is a special paint that is heat resistant up to 800 degrees Celsius. MIPAtherm heat resistant paint is in a 750ml can for application with a spray gun. Because this paint is heat resistant to high temperatures, this paint is ideal for spraying engine blocks, exhausts, stoves, barbecues, heaters and parts of cars, motorcycles, mopeds, scooters etc.

Heat resistant black lacquer matt

MIPAtherm lacquer is a matte heat-resistant lacquer. Thus, the surface to be sprayed will have a matte tough appearance. MIPAtherm thermo paint is extremely heat-resistant and does not flake off.

Properties and application of MIPAtherm paint

  • Suitable as a single-coat system or final coat to protect and embellish metal objects that are regularly brought to high temperatures (max. 800°C) such as built-in fireplaces, stoves, barbecues, car exhausts, etc.
  • The optimum physical properties and full resistance to oils, diesel, gasoline, etc. is obtained only after 1 hour of heating above 400°C.
  • Spraying capacity: 8 - 10 m2 / liter
  • Basis: Silicone resin
  • Packaging: 750ml (20 liter packaging available on request)

How do I apply the heat resistant lacquer in cans from MIPA?

  • Applied with top cup 1.4mm paint spray gun (4-5 Bar)
  • Number of spray coats: 2
  • Layer thickness: 20-30 μm

Drying times of the canned heat-resistant paint

  • Evaporation time before heating: 10-15 minutes
  • Dust dry at object temperature 20°C: 30-60 min (at 60°C: 10-15 min)
  • Can be handled at object temperature 20°C: 5 hours (at 60°C: 40-60 min)
  • Resistant to assembly at object temperature 24°C: 24 hours (at 60°C: after cooling)
  • Full cure: after 1 hour of heating above 400°C.

Characteristics of the MIPAtherm heat resistant lacquer

  • Always try to heat the object during processing and drying. Only then will you get the optimum properties
  • Quality: high-quality, professional (polyester resin) automotive paint
  • Heat resistant up to 800 degrees Celsius
  • Excellent adhesion
  • Resistant to gasoline, chemicals and weather influences
  • Matte finish

Notes:

Absolute solvent resistance (and temporary loading) is achieved after 1-2 hours at 200°C. Optimum properties and full chemical and mechanical resistance are achieved only after initial heating (about 1 hour at at least 400°C). Long evaporation times must be observed to prevent blistering in the event of too rapid heat loading. Application by brush or roller is possible to a limited extent.

Fine paint
This thin paint is ideal to use with a paint sprayer I have used this paint for years. No thinning required paint flows well and leaves a nice tight matte coat.
