It is often the lower 15-30 cm of the bodywork. There are many foil companies that can do this for you, but a bit of a nit-picker can do it himself with good paint preparation and the right tools, so that it is applied properly, sticks, and remains effective. Perhaps supplier Raptor can advise on this. For the appearance: think about car lines/design. It has to fit. There are teee options: 1) you follow car/body lines.
