How to use Hammerite Menie

Hammerite Menie can be used directly over rust as a primer to make paint adhere. By priming metal with Hammerite Menie you give steel durable anti-rust protection and great adhesion. Use the step-by-step plan below on how to use Hammerite Menie.

1. Remove paint and rust that is loose.
2. Clean the surface with Hammerite metal degreaser.
3. Lightly sand the surface and clean it again with degreaser.
4. Stir the Hammerite Menie for at least 2 minutes.
5. Apply the 1st and 2nd coats of Hammerite Menie with a brush or roller.
6. Allow it to dry for at least 4 hours before painting another coat.
7. Be sure to treat pitted rust spots extra well.
8. After 24 hours Hammerite Menie is repaintable with metal paint, alkyd paint or acrylic paint.
