CROP 4:1 2K Acrylic Primer Filler DARK GREY VS4 4 liter is a filling primer that adheres strongly to metal, aluminum, galvanized steel, on plastic primer, putty and existing lacquer or paint that is in good condition. The large 4 liter can makes this High Solid 2K primer filler ideal for full dark gray primer spraying of a car, van or other large surfaces. This HS 2K primer filler fills surface imperfections such as small holes, cracks, micro pinholes, sanding scratches and other imperfections. In addition, the dark gray primer is fast drying and you can easily sand the primer to a smooth surface. After drying, you can refinish the High Solid primer with 1K and 2K lacquers or paints that are both thinner- and water-based.
Primer dark gray
Primer dark gray is a high covering primer for universal use with dark colors of lacquer or paint types. The High Solid 2K primer dark gray from CROP has a high filling power so that the surface can be sprayed evenly in the gray primer. Because this HS primer gray is dark in color it covers very well.
Mixing ratio 2K primer
The mixing ratio of the 2K primer is 4:1. This means that to 4 liters of primer, you must add 1 liter of hardener. If desired, you can dilute the primer including hardener 5% to 10% with CROP Universal Thinner for the desired viscosity.
Drying time 2K primer filler
Drying time of 2K primer filler depends on temperature, humidity and layer thickness. Keep the following guidelines concerning the drying time of this 2-component primer filler at 20 degrees Celsius.
- Dust dry: 1 hour
- Hardened: 3 hours
- To sand: 3 hours

Do you need to sand primer
Once the primer is dry, you need to sand it. Sanding the primer smooths the surface and lightly roughens the primer layer. This helps the color car paint or 2K paint adhere better to the primer. If you don’t sand the primer, the paint will not adhere as well to the base coat.
How long is a 2K spray can usable after activation?
24 hours. After activating the 2K spray can, the two components will mix, starting the curing process, making the spray can usable for 24 hours.
