Polishing Discs

Polishing discs for polishing

Polishing wheels are used on polishing machines to polish lacquer. For this reason, a polishing wheel is also called a polishing wheel. When polishing with a polishing wheel, you can choose from a foam pad with soft, medium or hard foam. Each polishing pad has its own effect on the paint while polishing. At CROP you have a wide choice of all types of polishing pads in different sizes and types from well-known brands such as 3M, Meguiar's, Verekio and RUPES.

Foam buffing wheel with velcro

A buffing pad has a velcro attachment on the back side so that it can be placed on the velcro backing pad of the buffing machine. The other side of the polishing wheel contains a dense foam layer made of high quality foam, with which you will polish the car. The velcro of the polishing pad is strong enough so that the pad stays on the machine during polishing.

Polishing wheel coarse - hard

Coarse polishing pad is a pad with hard foam. A hard polishing pad has an aggressive effect on the car so it has a high paint correction. For this reason, a polishing wheel that is coarse is used for removing scratches from the car and restoring dull and weathered paint. After polishing with a hard polishing wheel, it is necessary to finish the paint with a soft polishing pad in a second step.

Medium buffing pad

Medium polishing pad is a pad that sits between a hard and soft disc. This universal polishing pad can be used for removing scratches, swirls and holograms, as well as bringing the paintwork to a shine. A polishing pad with medium hard foam can be used with a coarse and fine polishing compound.

Polishing wheel fine - soft

Fine polishing wheel is a pad with soft foam. A soft polishing wheel is used as a final step to remove the last scratches from the paint and bring the car to its highest gloss. A soft buffing pad is often used in combination with a fine polish.

Polish discs in different sizes

Polishing wheels can be bought in different sizes. The diameter you need depends on the size of the support pad of your polishing machine. Do you have a small polishing machine with a 75mm backing pad? Then you need a 75mm, 80mm or 100mm polishing pad. Is the polisher's support pad 125mm or 130mm? Then you need a 130mm or 150mm polishing pad. Do you have a large polisher with a 150mm backing pad? Then you need a 160mm, 180mm or 200mm polishing pad. So always measure the backing pad of your polisher before buying a polishing pad!
