Polishing Cones & Balls

Polishing Ball & Polishing Cone

Polishing Ball and Polishing Cone is a unique product that allows you to polish the most complex and difficult to reach places. When you want to polish a motorcycle or car, you will come across areas that you can't reach with a polisher. In order not to skip these areas, you can use a polishing ball or polishing cone. Using the bit, you place the polishing ball or polishing cone on a drill. Thus, you are able to polish the almost impossible to reach areas so that even there the paint becomes shiny and scratch-free.

What is a polishing ball or polishing cone?

A polishing ball and polishing cone contains foam and is a special accessory you can use while polishing a car, motorcycle or other paint surfaces. Attached to a polishing ball and polishing cone is a pen that acts as a bit to place on your drill. You can recognize a polishing ball by the round shape of a ball. A polishing cone is shaped like a cone and tapered. This way you can get to the most difficult-to-reach places. Think of polishing an exhaust, rims, engine block, etc. As with traditional polishing discs, the polishing ball and polishing cone are available in different foam hardnesses. This allows you to polish with more and less paint correction as you are used to with a foam polishing pad.

What to use a polishing ball or polishing cone for

While detailing a car or polishing an engine, you can use a polishing ball or polishing cone for the below three applications that are common.

  • Polishing rims: a polishing ball or polishing cone easily gets between spokes and near rims. By polishing high-gloss rims with a ball or cone, you will get the paint scratch-free, shiny and like new again.
  • Exhaust polishing: Stainless steel, aluminum and chrome exhausts can quickly become discolored, dull and have small scratches. By polishing the exhaust with a ball or cone, you will make the outside of the exhaust look like new again.
  • Other hard-to-reach areas: in addition to rims and exhausts, you can also use a polishing ball or cone for other parts such as door handles, emblems, or engine parts.

Different hardnesses for optimal paint correction

As with foam polishing pads, a polishing ball and polishing cone can be ordered in different hardnesses. By choosing the right foam hardness, you achieve the right paint correction for best results. The 3 hardnesses are:

  • Soft foam: for light scratches and gloss restoration
  • Medium foam: for general paintwork correction and high gloss finish
  • Hard foam: for deep scratches and repair of paint defects
