History of the RUPES BigFoot iBrid

After 75 years of innovation in car detailing, RUPES BigFoot launches its battery-powered eccentric polishers for the first time! The new polishers in the RUPES BigFoot line have been completely redeveloped from the ground up. With the goal of getting the best and maximum performance from the machine. The new RUPES dual action polishers are based on the iBrid Technology we already know from the Nano mini. This means that you can use the polisher both on battery power and via a mains adapter on electricity.

iBrid Technologies from RUPES BigFoot have been completely redeveloped to exceed all expectations. The RUPES features of the BigFoot iBrid polishers are:

Battery with 18V and 5Ah voltage

Basically, the new polishers are designed to polish on battery power. In the back of the machine you place the powerful RUPES 18V 5Ah battery that lasts up to 40 minutes. Thanks to the quick charger, you can charge a second Li-Ion battery while using the other. This allows you to continue polishing without breaks to keep productivity high.

Brushless motor

After years, the RUPES HLR15 and HLR21 BigFoot iBrid has a motor that is brushless. In addition, the brushless motor has a so-called In-Runner Technology. This ensures maximum performance combined with optimal cooling during machine operation. This keeps the motor performing better and you have less maintenance on the parts.

PolyFiber Gear Set

The new RUPES iBrid BigFoot polishers are equipped with a unique PolyFiber Gear Set. This is a revolutionary PolyFiber material that resembles carbon from plastic fiberglass. This not only makes the machines look very professional, luxurious and unique, but at 73 db(A) they also operate more quietly and vibration-free (1200 Hz).

Eccentric Set

Eccentric Set is a component that provides counterweight and improved performance. This ensures that the BigFoot iBrid polishers have a lightweight body. In figures, this makes the RUPES HLR15 as much as 15% lighter than the Mark III LHR15, and the RUPES HLR21 as much as 24% lighter than the LHR21 Mark 3.

PrecisionPro Backing Plate

PrecisionPro Backing Plate is the very latest backing pad with a rubber edge that provides protection while using the machine. Noteworthy to note is that with the RUPES PrecisionPro pad, the center of gravity is lower allowing for more stable and controlled polishing. With the PrecisionPro backing pad, you have a better balance while detailing the paint on a car.

LED Indicator

What we find sexiest is the LED Indicator in the handle of the RUPES BigFoot iBrid polisher. This blue LED light has two functions. If the LED Indicator blinks slowly, it means that the battery voltage is low. Then keep in mind that you will need to charge and/or replace the battery. If the blue LED Indicator starts flashing quickly, this means that you are applying too much pressure on the polisher. With this last function, you will therefore immediately have better control over the use of the machine!
