AUTOGLYM Rapid Ceramic Spray

Rapid Ceramic Spray from AUTOGLYM is a quick and easy way to maintain your AUTOGLYM Ultra High Definition Ceramic Coating. The difference between the two products is that ceramic quick detailer requires no paint preparation work. In contrast, UHD Ceramic Coating is a kit that contains preparation, application and care products together. The preparation and application is a longer process, but provides up to a year of protection.

How do I use Autoglym's ceramic coating?

This step is essential for obtaining a perfect surface for AUTOGLYM UHD Ceramic Coating to adhere optimally to automotive paint.

1. Make sure the vehicle is clean, dry and free of contaminants. It is recommended to wash the car thoroughly with a car shampoo and remove stubborn dirt with a clay bar. For a perfect finish, light scratches and swirls should also be removed with a polish or scratch remover at this stage.
2. Thoroughly wipe the surface with UHD Preparation to remove any existing waxes, sealants or oils. Apply the product directly to the cloth provided and then systematically wipe in straight lines across the paintwork, making sure all areas to be coated are covered. Wipe away any remaining residue with a dry part of the preparation cloth, turning the cloth regularly to avoid saturation.

Applying the ceramic coating:

1. Shake well before use.
2. Work in sections of 50 cm x 50 cm (medium-sized panel) at a time. Temperature and humidity are likely to affect the curing time. We recommend determining the optimum curing time on the first panel you apply the product to.
3. Once you apply the product, it begins to evaporate. When the product begins to form small balls or a film, this is the time to brush it off. On warmer days this takes 1-2 minutes, on colder days 3-5 minutes.
4. Apply UHD Ceramic Coating in straight lines with the UHD Ceramic Coating Applicator, being careful not to apply too much UHD Ceramic Coating.
5. After applying to a medium-sized panel and proper curing time, rub well with the red cloth.
6. Move on to the next panel, adding small amounts of product to the UHD Ceramic Coating Applicator if necessary, and polish when dry.
7. After you have coated and polished all areas, change the position of the car to view the paint in a different light. Rub all missed areas again with the finishing cloth.
8. Finally, allow UHD Ceramic Coating to fully cure on your car for at least 4 hours. During this time, it should stay away from wet weather and environments with a lot of dust or dirt.
9. Do not wash the vehicle for 24 hours after application.
10. CAUTION: If the ceramic coating has cured for too long, it may become difficult to remove. If this happens, simply apply more product to the small area and polish immediately. Remove excess product from plastic or glass with UHD Preparation before it dries. UHD Ceramic Coating cannot be used on matte automotive paint.
