Alabastine Wood Rot Filler repairs and fills damage caused by wood rot. Two component wood rot filler is suitable for all wooden substrates such as doors, stairs, window frames and furniture.

Wood rot filler

Before using wood putty, fill deep holes first with Alabastine Wood Rot Filler. The filler remains flexible after curing and thus easily absorbs the action of the wood. After complete curing, the wood repair has the same properties as wood.

Wood Rot Impregnation

We recommend impregnating wood rot properly. Alabastine Wood Rot Impregnator penetrates deep into rotten wood and prevents further deterioration. Alabastine impregnator strengthens deteriorated wood, hardens soft wood again and ensures that it will last for years to come.

How do I use Alabastine wood rot filler?

Always use Alabastine wood rot filler in combination with Alabastine wood rot impregnator. Follow the step-by-step instructions below.

1. Thoroughly remove rotten wood and loose parts.
2. Clean and dry the substrate.
3. For optimum results: impregnate the rotten wood with Alabastine Wood Impregnator. This will prevent further deterioration of the wood.
4. After c. 6 hours drying (at 20°C) of Wood Impregnator, Wood Rot Filler can be applied.
5. Mix component 1 and component 2 on a hard surface with a putty knife until an even color is obtained. The mixing ratio should always be 1:1. Easy: take an equal amount from both cans.
6. Do not prepare more than can be used within 20 minutes because of curing.
7. Apply wood rot filler with a putty knife.
8. For setting corners or for larger repairs we recommend using Alabastine Repair Plates.
9. Planing, sanding, painting (primer), etc. is possible after 6 hours (at 20°C).
10. Clean tools immediately with warm water and kitchen paper.
