Remove light scratches

This boat polish is ideal for removing light to medium oxidation, swirls and scratches of P1500 or finer. This premium formula leaves a deep high gloss even on dark gelcoats and provides long-lasting weather protection. The compound dries slowly, allowing you to work longer without applying new polish each time. In warmer temperatures, you need less, and thanks to its smooth application, it does not clump on the polishing wheel. The integrated wax layer provides extra protection and reduces the need for additional waxing.

3M has a wonderful product line Perfect-it Gelcoat developed specifically for polyester surfacing. I have been using this product for several years to great satisfaction. It is easy to apply by machine or by hand and the result is very nice. The Heavy type is used when the surface is very weathered and to prepare it for other operations because there is no wax. The milder varieties Medium and Light do contain wax and give a beautiful result in one treatment. The Boat-wax and Boat-wash are very fine for maintaining and preserving the result. It costs a little to purchase the whole series but the consumption is low and over the years it is a limited cost.
