3M 37455 FC Epoxy Metal Filler
3M Fast Cure Epoxy Metal Filler is a fast drying 2K filler in cartridge that can be used on all metal surfaces, including steel, iron, metal and aluminum. The filler has been specially developed for filling deep dents and shaping structures in body parts, car parts or other metal surfaces. In addition, it ensures that weld seams are immediately protected against rust and corrosion.
Repair dents in steel
3M 37455 is intended to be used as an automotive body repair material. This fast curing epoxy filler is capable of repairing imperfections such as dents in steel, galvanized steel and aluminum, for the final shaping on difficult-to-reach/rebuild areas or welded joints. It is designed to substitute traditional tin soldering and it is free of isocyanate, silicones and lead.
Mixing ratio
FC Epoxy Metal Filler two-component Universal Cartridge uses a 2:1 mixing ratio (base to hardener).
Easy to apply & fast drying time
3M 37455 Fast Cure is a professional 2K Epoxy Metal filler that is easy to apply and known for its quick drying time. In just 15 minutes you are able to process the filler and is fully cured in 2 hours at 22°C. If desired, the epoxy filler can also be dried with an infra red lamp.
How to use 3M Fast Cure 2K Epoxy Metal Filler?
- Surfaces should be thoroughly de-greased and free from dirt and dust. Sand the damaged area with a P80-P120 abrasive disc. To remove any corrosion or broken paint, a suitable Fibre Disc or Bristle Disc should be used.
- Wipe dust away and clean the surface.
- Before attaching the mixer to the cartridge, squeeze out a small amount of material until both components run equally.
- Material may be dispensed directly onto the damaged area, or a spreader or a mixing board.
- You may continue to dispense material until the normal material curing process clogs the mixing nozzle – typically after approximately 15 to 20 minutes. If more repair material is desired after curing has occurred, remove and install a new nozzle.
- Drying properties: 2 to 4 hours at 22°C and 10 to 20 minutes at 70°C (IR Curing).
- Surface grinding.
